BIOGRAPHY

Deborah Davis is the author of Strapless: John Singer Sargent and the Fall of Madame X (Tarcher/Putnam, 2003), which appeared on the New York Times Extended Bestseller List and was a Book Sense Top Ten Pick.  Her other books include PARTY OF THE CENTURY: The Fabulous Story of Truman Capote and his Black and White Ball (Wiley, 2006), and The Secret Lives of Frames: One Hundred Years of Art and Artistry (Filipacchi, 2006). Her new book, Gilded: How Newport Became the Richest Resort in America,will be published by Wiley in October, 2009.
